Details

General Dallaire is a celebrated advocate for global human rights, as well as an author, lecturer, leadership consultant, international advisor, former Canadian Senator, and founder of the Dallaire Institute for Children, Peace, and Security. Throughout his distinguished military career, he served in staff, training, and command positions throughout North America, Europe, and Africa, rising in rank from army cadet in 1960 to lieutenant-general in 1998.

The Hanway Lecture in Global Studies is an endowed lecture series made possible by a gift from Ed Hanway, a member of the University’s Class of 1974 and member of the Board of Trustees, and his wife, Ellen.
