We made it to the end of the semester, but we aren't quite done yet. While students sit for their exams and faculty get their final grading done, the lab crew are hard at work moving every beaker, microscope, and pipette to our new wing of Donnelly Science. When you return next semester we'll have new classrooms, new labs, and new hangout spots to explore. To celebrate the new space we will be having a party! Join us on Wednesday January 28th at 12:00 PM on the new floor 2 by the stairs. We'll have food and drinks to kick off the new semester in our new space. Remember to RSVP.
Until then, good luck on your final exams and have a wonderful winter break!

Summer 2026 Hauber Research Fellowship Applications are open
Who should apply?
Loyola University Maryland undergraduate students in the field of Natural and Applied Sciences interested in working side-by-side with a faculty mentor to conduct research in their area of interest are encouraged to apply. For many students, Hauber fellowships have been a stepping stone to campus and national awards, co-authorship on presentations and/or manuscripts, and entry into professional or graduate school. Hauber Research Fellows also have the opportunity to present their research posters on more than one occasion during the 2025-2026 academic year. Students gain valuable knowledge in the realm of research while faculty receive help with their projects and the pleasure of working directly with students.
Appointments carry a stipend of $5000 for the duration of the 10-week program, plus discounted or free summer housing.
How to apply?
Students should connect with a sponsoring faculty member and identify a tentative research project to apply. They should then complete the online application form including the name of their faculty mentor(s), proposed project title and abstract.
