Dear Program Directors,
We are excited to invite your undergraduate and graduate students to a joint-sponsored student research symposium—'Falling for Research’ at Towson University on Friday, November 10th, from 3-6 pm.
The symposium’s focus is to provide a venue for undergraduate and graduate students to present their summer research, and the timing of the event is particularly ideal for students planning to present at ABRCMS (Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minoritized Students) in Phoenix, AZ the following week.
Attached you will also find the event flyer for details on registration to share with any current students in your programs who might be interested in attending or presenting at the event.
Besides the student poster session, the event will include a pizza dinner, a micro-art activity, short lightning talks chosen from poster abstracts, and a chance to network with representatives from local graduate programs.
Please register and submit abstracts for the poster presentation by October 27th using the following site: https://forms.office.com/r/w9nrWPUwcs. Registration for the event includes a $10 fee, which can be paid via PayPal at the following site: https://www.asmmdbranch.com/fallingforresearch.
This event is a joint venture co-sponsored by the MD Branch of the American Society for Microbiology, the MD local chapter of the American Chemical Society, the University of Maryland Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Towson University student chapter of the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
Please contact Michelle Snyder, msnyder@towson.edu if you have any questions.
Looking forward to seeing you there!
