The Baltimore Chapter of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) offers scholarships to college students pursuing their Bachelor's Degree in an ASHRAE‑related field.
This is ideal for mechanical engineers, civil engineers or architectural engineers.
To determine if you meet the eligibility requirements for scholarship consideration by the Baltimore Chapter, please review the following specific criteria generally grouped by importance:
Eligibility:
- ASHRAE field of training – mechanical engineering for example.
- Applicant is in an accredited course in recognized college (or program pre-approved by ASHRAE Board) – Loyola University Maryland qualifies
- Applicant is matriculating for a degree in an ASHRAE related engineering field – you’re taking engineering classes this semester.
- Applicant is residing in, or moving to the Baltimore Chapter assigned area (permanent resident) – or anywhere in Maryland (doesn’t have to be Baltimore).
- Applicant is working in the Heating, Ventilating, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVAC&R) field – not necessary if you are in college.
- Applicant is the son or daughter of a Baltimore chapter member, living or deceased – not 100% necessary.
- Applicant has high scholastic standing or average from previous year – referring to your GPA.
- Financial need.
- Veteran with an Honorable Discharge or member of United States Armed Services. – not 100% necessary.
