In this session, participants will learn and practice a series of vocabulary tools that support gender inclusive practices in classrooms, offices, and conversations. Participants will learn and practice describing the differences between assigned sex, gender identity, and gender expression. They will also practice identifying microaggressions around gender identity and gender expression, along with modeling inclusive language (including pronouns).

Participants will leave with an increased understanding of their own social identities and their roles in interrupting oppression to make Loyola's campus safer and more welcoming for all gender-queer members of our community. Open to all students, faculty, staff, and administrators.

Facilitators: Stepf Diaz and Tim Cherney
