This is a course that contributes to the mission of Loyola to “inspire students to learn, lead, and serve in a diverse changing world.” This course will expose students to a different culture internationally so that they can become change agents in a diverse changing world. The course also encompasses ethics, basic concepts of foreign currencies transactions and translation accounting under U.S. GAAP and IFRS auditing, sustainability, and cultural practices.

A trip to Ghana, Africa (Accra) is included as well as business visits, engagement with the Jesuits, cultural site tours, a global community service project for societal impact, and a live case study. The trip allows students to interact with global companies and learn how they handle business domestically and globally. Also, students will become familiar with the culture of a country with an international economy.

The cost of the course is $4,250 for the course for double occupancy. The price excludes airfare, Visa fees, passport fees, and immunization fees. Information sessions are held in person or on Zoom upon inquiry.
