Loyola Athletic's 18 teams compete at the NCAA Division I level and in the Patriot League. Games and contests are held in Reitz Arena, Ridley Athletic Complex, the Mangione Pool at the Fitness & Aquatics Center, The Loyola/Johns Hopkins Track & Field Facility and the McClure Tennis Center at Ridley Athletic Complex.

Student Ticket Policy

FREE TICKET: All full-time undergraduate and graduate students are entitled to receive one (1) free general admission ticket to all Loyola Athletics basketball and lacrosse home games. Other home sporting events are free to the general public and do not require tickets. This policy does not apply to Patriot League or NCAA postseason events held at Loyola University Maryland.

HOW: Simply present your Loyola University Maryland ID card at the entrance gate on game day to obtain admission. Picking up printed tickets prior to a game or at the Box Office on game day is no longer required! If you have any questions, please call the Loyola Box Office at (410) 617-1420 or stop by Monday - Friday, 11 AM - 6 PM.

WHERE TO SIT: The "Student Section" for basketball home games is located in sections 2, 3 and 4 at Reitz Arena. Please refrain from sitting in other reserved seating sections as another fan may have purchased these tickets. For all other home games, you are welcome to sit in any General Admission seat in Reitz Arena or Ridley Athletic Complex.

The Baltimore Environmental Film Series at Loyola University Maryland was inspired by the great environmentally themed film festivals in the mid-Atlantic including Environmental Film Fest in the Nation's Capital and The Environmental Film Fest at Yale. As a Jesuit Catholic Institution environmental sustainability is important to the mission and values of Loyola University Maryland. This film series merges the art of film with education and advocacy for those affected by the major environmental issues of the time. The film series is one of many events publicizing the interdisciplinary minor in Environmental Studies. The series is supported by many programs and offices across campus and supported by funding from the Loyola College Dean's Office & other sources as noted on the events.

Loyola's Center for Community, Service, + Justice (CCSJ) connects campus and community for a more just and equitable world.

Inspired by Loyola's Jesuit Catholic educational mission and identity that calls for a dynamic integration of academic excellence, social responsibility, and faith that does justice, CCSJ is committed to reciprocal collaboration with community partners and to involvement with people who are marginalized. CCSJ aspires to place a shared emphasis on the engagement of Loyola students and faculty and the pursuit of positive community impact in Loyola's immediate York Road neighborhoods, throughout Baltimore City, and the world.

CCSJ Aims:

The Green Bandana Brigade’s goal is to spread awareness of campus, local, and national resources for students coping with mental health concerns. An individual with a green bandana on their backpack or in their office is identified as a safe, nonjudgmental person to approach with mental health-related difficulties. They know about available resources, and they can provide resource cards to assist others in getting help and support. None of us has to be alone in our struggles.

IgnatianQ brings together the community of LGBTQPIA+ folks (and allies) at Jesuit universities from across the U.S. As LGBTQPIA+ people, we believe that our own desire for social justice and the Jesuit values that inform our education are forces that can and should work together for a more just and humane world. As we explore the intersections of sexuality, gender, and spirituality together, we strive to educate and empower the whole person.

Since 2014, when founded at Fordham University, IgnatianQ has been hosted by AJCU schools across the country, including Loyola University Maryland in 2018. Each year, Loyola brings a delegation of students to the conference during the spring semester. IgnatianQ is supported by Campus Ministry and LGBTQ+ Student Services.

Messina is named for the city in Sicily, Italy, where the Jesuits established their first college to welcome lay students. The study of theology embraces diverse interests: Some want to come to a deeper intellectual grasp of what it is that they believe and their reasons for believing it; others seek a form of rigorous inquiry into basic human questions, while yet others study theology because the Jewish and Christian traditions have had such vast influence on the Western culture in which we live, ranging from the realms of literature, visual arts and music to the realms of social, political, and ethical reflection. As practiced at Loyola, theology embraces these diverse interests and engages a variety of texts drawn from scripture, the Christian tradition, and the contemporary world. It brings those texts into dialogue with voices from non-Christian religious traditions and the secular world. Whatever a student's own faith might be, the study of theology provides a crucial perspective for understanding both the past and our present.
