Dear Colleague,
Greetings from Illinois Physics!
In 2019 we began designing a professional masters program in Instrumentation and Applied Physics that might appeal to physics majors and minors who were not planning to enroll in PhD programs. We've just started accepting applications for the inaugural class.
This is a strongly project-focused, nine-month program with lots of hands-on work designing and building devices. Most projects will be suggested by our industry affiliates, but will be done on campus under the supervision of UIUC faculty and staff.
I'm asking for a small amount of help from you, please. We'd like to see which project areas are of greatest interest to prospective students, and have fielded a questionnaire here: https://surveys.illinois.edu/sec/870118670 . Could you forward the link to any of your students who might have taken at least a couple of semesters of intermediate physics courses, please?
