About Us
FGHA serves to elevate the voices of Loyola's first-generation student community while providing an open forum for all students. FGHA will strive to educate the Loyola community about the needs and concerns of first-generation students. FGHA, as an extension of the Office of the Dean of Undergraduate Studies (ODUGS), will plan events that celebrate Loyola's First Gen community, provide informational resources to Loyola's student body, and foster First Gen allyship amongst the Loyola community. FGHA, in conjunction with ODUGS, will uphold the goals, objectives, and principals of the national First Gen Forward initiative. Finally, FGHA will strive to always uphold the principals on equity and inclusion. All FGHA members and events will work to foster an inclusive and welcoming environment.
