Messina and the Common Text Committee are seeking students to help us select the 2025 Common Text. Since September, the committee has cut a list of 34 book suggestions down to 5 finalists. Before making our selection, we would welcome input from student readers.

As you know, incoming students are given a book in June and asked to read it over the summer. By signing up to be a reader, you will experience the same thing, while giving us an honest appraisal of the book. Please, don't hold back! Your feedback will be taken into account when the committee meets in March to select the Common Text.

Students can sign up to be a student reader until February 28th at noon. A book will be assigned to you and communicated via email. Books must be read by March 10th, and an evaluation form submitted to Messina.
