Class of 2025

Senate

Emma Rodriguez

Hi everyone! My name is Emma Rodriguez and I’m running for the Class of 2025 Senate. I am a Marketing Major with a Minor in Accounting, so I’m pretty invested in business. My time at Loyola has allowed me to grow into someone who is more adaptable, persistent, and understanding of others. Given that it’s our senior year, I am looking to use a position in Senate to leave a legacy at Loyola that we as a class can be proud of. I want to be able to advocate for our class year by being approachable to every person in our class and by listening to your ideas and concerns. If elected, my goals would include, determining student issues, and representing your needs and communicating them to those who can effect positive change. Therefore, I plan on directly working with many of you and making myself approachable to change policy, advocating for your needs in terms of club appropriations and representing students regarding parking tickets. I am confident, capable, reliable and wholly committed to making our last year at Loyola the best!

Patrick Turek

Hello! My name is Patrick Turek, and I am running to be your SGA class of 2025 senator. I am a double major in Quantitative Economics and Statistical Science, an Eagle Scout, and one of the leaders of Loyola’s Honors Program. I have been a part of SGA for the past three years, one of which was on the senate. I am hoping for reelection as your senator in order to simplify the process of joining SGA, help clubs receive funding for their events, and to make SGA feel like a representation of our whole campus. I want to continue discussions with administration around food allergies and dining on campus to create an environment where everyone is able to eat food that they will enjoy no matter their dietary restrictions. I believe that through the senate I will be able to shape the future of SGA to improve our remaining time on campus but also the experience of those who will come after us. Utilizing my previous time on SGA will allow me to start off the year strong and make it so I can continue working on initiatives from this current year. Finally, through the senate I aim to increase outside involvement with SGA’s bylaws by listening to the student body and supporting the initiatives that are important to us all. I want SGA to be a welcoming and productive place which allows the whole student body to be able to create the best campus experience possible. I want to make our senior year the best it can be and would love your support by voting for Patrick Turek for the class of 2025 senate!!

Jacolby Lacy

Hello, my name is Jacolby Lacy. I am a class of 2025 representative running for Senate, and I wish to preface myself with brevity. My family is from Nassau, Bahamas, and I grew up with a big family that gave me many stories that have been written into the book of my life. Now, due to my family, I value writing as well as the double major in International Business and Sustainability Management that I have pursued thus far. I utilize my ability to ingratiate myself with others to engender opportunities and explore different groups of people--as I begin to hear the polychromatic symphonies the world has to offer. I learned to turn my perfect imperfections such as deep pondering into my strengths, especially as I intend to run for Senate. I plan to familiarize myself with our SGA's constitution as the words lift off the document and scatter themselves upon every brick and every face of this campus. We the people make up the system, and I would adore the opportunity to be that bridge between the living documents and the people I love on the campus ground. Perfection may not exist, but perseverance and dedication do. I am eager to develop my skills further as they relate to my execution and participation in SGA this year as an African-American male with a mighty and passionate heart and a steady and patient mind. Together we stride, but alone we collectively pave our paths.

Ava Sansone

Hello fellow Greyhounds! My name is Ava Sansone, I am a rising senior, and I am running for Senate for the Class of 2025. You may have seen me around on campus or at the fac, as I am the co-captain of the club softball team, as well as a supervisor for Intramural Sports! I am seeking election to be an advocate for our senior class. I look forward to developing a strong bond with our classmates to improve our Loyola experiences by encouraging an open dialogue, uniting all students, and problem-solving for the betterment of our campus community. As a member of our student government, I will work diligently and collaboratively to make positive changes for our student body. With my experience on and off the field as a proud greyhound, I believe I would be a great addition to SGA as your senior class Senator.

Kiera Dorrian

I’m Kiera Dorrian, and I’m running for the 2025 Class Assembly! Here at Loyola, I’m currently an Assembly member and a board member of Sigma Society. For our senior year, I want to collaborate with our class to make senior year our best year yet! I hope to engage with the class of 2025 and reach people who do not typically interact with Student Government. I believe in creating authentic relationships, and by being a part of the assembly on SGA, I want to reach out and connect our grade as a whole. I not only want to serve as an SGA representative but also as a friendly face on campus who anyone can go to for support and encouragement.

Kate McCormick

Hi my name is Kate and I am running for senior assembly! The past three years I have been a member of SGA, as an assembly member for Freshman and Sophomore year, and class President last semester before I went abroad! I love to plan events for the class and to hear peoples input on how SGA can best serve the student body! Next year I hope to continue to connect the student body to SGA through contributing input, answering questions, and speaking on behalf of students needs and concerns. I am so excited for next year (especially senior countdown events), and would be honored to be elected. Please think of me when you vote :)

I am also currently serving on the junior class assembly and am excited to announce my candidacy for the senior class assembly! Gabriela Trainor

What’s up Class of 2025! How are you? I am fantastic thanks for asking! My name is Gabriela Trainor and this will be my fourth year running for our class of ‘25 assembly members. I have enjoyed the past three years serving as an assembly member planning events and doing giveaways for our class. However, most importantly being a friendly face in our class and listening to you in the ways Loyola can improve your experiences serving as the liaison between our class and the university. This upcoming year is our last year at Loyola and I want to make it the best year for all of us seniors. We have lots to look forward to as in the senior countdown events, bachelorette, O’s game, dinner with Terry, and much more. I have had the best three years thus far coming up with different ways to engage with our class and present events that will not only be fun but build a sense of community within our class. I would love the opportunity to be re-elected this upcoming year in order to collaborate with other seniors and with them execute the best events of our four years here at Loyola. I love Loyola and the city of Baltimore like a second home and would also love to continue to facilitate community, education, and fun (of course) to make Loyola a more inclusive space for everyone and everyone that comes after us while I still can with it being our last year. I hope that I can count on your vote to be a part of making our senior year the best year yet!
