Student Leadership Corps (SLC) is a program for sophomore students focused on leadership learning and development. Program participants seek a greater understanding and knowledge of leadership, and clarity in their values and purpose in order to practice their own definition of leadership. SLC provides a space to learn about leadership, connect with others, and engage through key experiences.
In addition to the program specifics below, students may also participate in various leadership workshops and opportunities sponsored by Student Leadership and Involvement or other departments around campus.
Weekly Cohort Meetings
Students will attend meetings on Tuesday or Friday afternoons to learn foundational leadership skills and discover their personal leadership style.
Peer Mentorship
SLC mentors participated in SLC their sophomore year. Meet monthly with your mentor to reflect on weekly content, set goals, and continue to make connections around campus.
Off-Campus Retreat
Take what you've learned in SLC so far outside of the classroom on our off-campus retreat! See your leadership skills in action as you build connections with the rest of the cohort.
