A Thousand Pines follows migrant workers over the course of a grueling eight months. A crew of Oaxacan "guest" workers migrate to the U.S. to plant trees throughout the United States for the timber industry. This documentary portrays the harsh realities for Latinx migrant workers to balance the physical demands of reforestation and extreme isolation while attempting to stay connected to their families back home.
