Hello Loyola Commuters!
I’m Smarlyn Ovalles, Event Coordinator for CSO (Commuter Student Organization). I hope you had a great first month of the semester. Here's the breakdown for the month of October:
Mission Statement
CSO provides commuter students with a safe and inclusive environment where students can engage and connect with each other to foster a deeper sense of belonging and connection to the Loyola community. We offer a variety of programming throughout the semester for commuter students to engage in, make connections, and make the most of their time on campus.

Commuter Cookout
At CSO, we are very excited for those who could attend September’s Commuter Cookout! We hope you enjoyed the food, the vibe, and made more meaningful connections. This is an annual event; for those who were unable to attend, we hope that you can join us at next year's cookout!

Apple & Pumpkin Field Trip with OPTIONS (@OPTIONS)
Date: Sat. Oct 15th, 2022
Time: 12:00 PM – 5:30 PM
Place: Baugher’s Orchard; Apple and Pumpkins
Cost: FREE
Availability: 39 spots
Sign up: Will begin on Wed.10/05 at 9 AM on the Bridge
Details provided by OPTIONS:
“Join OPTIONS for a fun fall day at Baugher's Orchard on Saturday, October 15th! There is NO COST. Please note: You will need to bring additional cash for apples and pumpkins.”
Transportation:
Most commuters have means of transportation. Commuters are welcome to meet at 12 PM at Baugher’s Farm. If you plan on meeting us there, please email Options (OPTIONS@loyola.edu) to let them know you will not need transportation. We hope that you do not miss out on this great opportunity!

Giveaways
For those of you who registered to the bridge during the cookout. CSO will be providing a few surprise prizes if you keep attending future CSO events!
The more CSO-hosted events you attend, the more your name will be entered into a raffle to win a FREE Commuter Convenience Parking Pass for the 2023-2024 school year. One winner will be chosen at the end of the year from those who register their attendance at events on the bridge. Some activities will have unannounced prizes such as Loyola’s car magnets/stickers, pens, travel mugs, and so on. Please look forward to this!

Off-Campus Students
For the purpose of furthering connection among Loyola’s students; CSO is very excited to announce that off-campus students can now register to receive CSO communication if they wish to.
