Club and Organization Posting Policies
Take some time to review the Posting Policy, found on the RSO website. So far this semester, we've seen a handful of flyer violations taped on painted surfaces in addition to flyers without stamp approval from our office. With further questions, feel free to reach out to Natalie (nfcummins@loyola.edu) or Jack (jlyeager@loyola.edu) and visit https://bridge.loyola.edu/rso/documents/.
Club of the Month Spotlight: Rendez-Vous Haiti
Rendez-Vous: Haiti is an RSO at Loyola that was founded by Catherine Savell, a member of the French faculty at Loyola University Maryland. After the devastating 2010 earthquake in Haiti, Rendez-Vous: Haiti was created to raise awareness and money for the people and communities in Haiti to create a positive, sustainable impact. Each year, Rendez-Vous: Haiti sells roses at Loyola's end-of-the-year dance shows, and the profits go toward these communities in Haiti.
In its mission statement, the club says that Rendez-vous: Haiti is a volunteer based non-profit organization fostering positive change for people who are materially poor overseas. It raises funds and provides opportunities for volunteers to collaborate with local individuals or communities on development projects to promote self-sufficiency.
There are several ways to get involved with Rendez-Vous: Haiti at Loyola, like following their page on The Bridge or attending their monthly meetings. You can also contact Club Officer Hannah York (hgyork@loyola.edu) or Club President Elizabeth Jean-Louis (ejean-louis@loyola.edu) to find out more ways to get involved.
Reminder: don't forget to submit an application on The Bridge to give your club or organization a chance to be featured as December's Club of the Month Spotlight! The deadline to apply is Tuesday, November 22nd.

Morgan’s Message
Morgan’s Message began to honor the legacy of Morgan Rodgers, a former Duke University Lacrosse student-athlete who died tragically in July 2019 after battling mental health struggles. Although Morgan’s life was cut way too short, her legacy of unconditional love remains. Morgan’s Message was created by her family and former teammates with the mission to eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health, normalize the conversations about mental health and to ensure that mental health is treated equally to physical health for all student-athletes. Loyola’s chapter of Morgan’s Message will be an interactive community for all students to connect and support one another. We will engage in a variety of mental health and well-being conversations, offering activities and advice for all. To get involved, contact Anna Ruby (agruby@loyola.edu) and visit their page on The Bridge!
Abroad Student Network
The Abroad Student Network (ASN) was formed to provide Loyola students with a community of support after studying abroad. Loyola has offered support in the past, but we wanted to create a student-led community where you can connect in a more informal setting. We want students to talk about their experiences abroad, and the how they are adjusting to the transition back home. Additionally, we plan on having bigger events to share cultures from different Loyola programs with students who never had the opportunity to go abroad or are interested in learning more about it. We are very excited to share learned perspectives, stories, and meet new Loyola students! To get involved, contact Bella LoRusso (imlorusso@loyola.edu) and visit their page on The Bridge!
Tabletop Club
The Tabletop club is a place for people to meet and play any board/table game. The club does not focus on any game in particular and is open to all interests. The core of Tabletop is its members. At Tabletop, members are encouraged to reach out and meet others of similar interests. The community channels, like Discord, serve as ways to schedule your own games and try new activities. The club does not have regular meetings, but hosts community events that cover a variety of different games and activities. Tabletop club also has an expanding array of free community supplies and games that are available to members at any time. However, members are more than welcome to use their own supplies. To get involved, you can contact Jack Inman (jcinman@loyola.edu) or Brian Coleman (brcoleman@loyola.edu) and visit their page on The Bridge!
Muslim Student Association
The Muslim Student Association (MSA) is a student organization sponsored by Campus Ministry, which advocates for the needs of Muslim students attending Loyola. MSA is open to all students who are genuinely curious about learning about Islam and its practices and Muslims around the world. MSA will be celebrating Ramadan and Eid with Campus Ministry annually, so Muslims on campus can celebrate together and create a sense of belonging on this campus. Brazilian Student Association
The Brazilian Student Association (BRASA) aspires to provide Loyola Maryland students with an opportunity to learn and experience Brazilian culture, as well as engage with students and faculty who are from Brazil or of Brazilian heritage. This is a club that offers a safe, warm, welcoming, and fun space for students to connect with Brazilian culture by listening to Brazilian music, making and eating traditional dishes, engaging in cultural events, workshops, and holidays, speaking Brazilian Portuguese, etc. BRASA will meet at least once a month and welcomes all Loyola students to join! Tips & Tricks: The Bridge
When creating an event for your RSO, make sure you include your club/organization name in your event title (i.e., instead of putting "Meeting" as the title, write "Club Gymnastics Practice."
Do not mark off "TBD" when creating an event if location is unknown; leave everything unmarked and separately request a location in RSO/ASO Event Approval form. Events add the location into the event on The Bridge once they assign a location.
If your club/organization has created an event and has gotten that event fully approved but they realize they want to make an edit to the approved event, you must email Erin Misiorek (enmisiorek@loyola.edu). If you try to make a change on your own, the event will change to “Pending” and be pushed back through the workflow.
Please submit space/room requests for events at least 5-7 business days in advance (business days and business hours are Mon-Fri 9am-5pm).
SGA Funding
There is a new template attached to the SGA funding form, and the link to this form is here: https://cglink.me/2hL/s52131. This template provides a simplified way to share your budget with SGA to make the approval process smoother. The new template file that is a part of the SGA funding form is attached to this email.
Be sure to review the SGA Appropriations website and by-laws before completing a funding request! With further questions, feel free to reach out to Alexa (ajjunikiewicz@loyola.edu) or Erin (enmisiorek@loyola.edu) and visit https://bridge.loyola.edu/sga/resources/.
