Module feedback form is live!
We know that many of our curriculum modules are new or recently updated so we are seeking your feedback on how they're going! This will be a form where you can share things like "module was too short," "module was too long," "module lacked activities," etc. You can find it under Enrichment Planning Resources on our website or by accessing the form directly through this link.
Professional Development Opportunities
Messina can sponsor your participation in one or both of these opportunities. Please fill out the January 2026 Professional Development Opportunities Sponsorshipform IN ADDITION to registering for the opportunities below. Please complete the Sponsorship form by Friday, December 12th. Messina will notify you of your sponsorship status during the week of December 15th.
Opportunity A - Restorative Justice Training Level 1 (Wednesday, January 7th 9AM-4PM, and Thursday, January 8th 9AM-1PM)
You can sign up until December 22nd, however, to be eligible for Messina sponsorship, please register by December 12th
Opportunity B - Mental Health First Aid Training (Friday, January 9th 9AM-4PM)
Messina will NOT sponsor Student Development employees for this training, as it is expected that individual departments will cover the cost as a part of our Strategic Initiatives.
A virtual Mental Health First Aid training will be offered for Loyola FAS on January 9th, from 9am-4pm. The Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training will include a 1.5-hour self-paced portion, to be completed prior to the virtual, day long, experiential portion on January 9th. Through this training, participants will develop skills in assisting someone experiencing a mental health or substance use-related crisis. Participants will learn:
risk factors and warning signs for a range of mental health concerns,
strategies for how to help someone in both crisis and non-crisis situations, and
how to connect someone to additional support.
There is a cost of $23.95 per participant for training materials, intended to be covered by each participant's department. Please reach out to learn more about options for funding support. The MHFA training is eligible for 7.5 contact hours of continuing education credit for psychologists, psychology associates, social workers, clinical professional counselors, and speech-language pathologists.
To join the January training sign up here by December 12th, to ensure you have time to complete the 1.5-hour pre-work before the live training.
