History: Our department was created in the summer of 2024 as an outcome of our university's strategic plan, Together We Rise, following decades of student and employee advocacy. For more information, check out the LGBTQIA+ History at Loyola webpage.
Our work: We provide holistic support services and programming for the LGBTQ+ community and allies on Loyola's campus. We support student organizations (The LGBTQ+ Experience; Spectrum), partner with local and national LGBTQ+ advocacy efforts, and engage the Loyola student body through LGBTQ+ programming and education. We hope to create community and increase visibility for students and employees on Loyola's campus.
What we're cooking up: We are currently developing our own pre-fall program and mentorship program for the 2025-2026 academic year! Look out for more information about leadership opportunities. Also...psst psst...we've got another drag show happening on Friday, January 24th - see below for ticket and event information!
