1. Majors, Minors, and Advising Fair Rescheduled
The fair is rescheduled for Wednesday, 2/19 at the same time and same place - 11:30am - 1:30pm in McGuire Hall
2. Messina Awards - Deadline: Friday, February 28 at 11:59 p.m.
Nominations are now open for the 2024-2025 Messina Awards! Let your students know about this opportunity to nominate someone in their working group, or their favorite RA, or submit your own nominations for a member of your group! Flyers will be posted next week.
Winners will be announced at the spring student leadership awards ceremony in April – more details to come!
3. Top Golf Tuesdays
We get questions often about how to make Top Golf happen on a $600 budget. On Tuesdays this semester, Top Golf is half off. Talk to Patrick Murnane details.
4. Friday Nights at the Aquarium
Admission is half off after 5pm on Fridays at the aquarium. They close at 9pm which gives you plenty of time to see a shark, go to the rainforest, and even catch a 4D movie.
5. Baltimore CollegeTown Externship This Summer

Criminal (In)Justice Laws Without Mercy: An Evening with Tray Jones
Wrongfully convicted at 16, Jones spent 37 years of his life incarcerated. During that time, Jones earned a college degree, wrote a book, and is now a successful author and speaker but most importantly, free. This event is perfect for any law, political science, philosophy, or even writing majors as themes like justice and hope are explored during this talk.
Open Mic Night Tonight
In celebration of Black History Month, SGA, WLOY, and the Karson Institute are partnering to put on a Poetry Open Mic on tonight, Thursday, February 13th from 6-8pm in Starbucks. Anyone who is interested in sharing a poem or any kind of spoken word at this event can use this link to sign up; anyone can share an original piece or give a reading of a pre-existing poem. The theme of the night is Black history, and we are honoring the Black community's contribution to the art form of poetry. There will also be free food provided at this event.
