B’More Rooted: Where Belonging Begins is a pre-fall program with the McAuley Women’s Center for first-year students with a commitment to gender-based equality. Through community-building, values exploration, reflection, and service in Baltimore focused on women, students discover themselves and their place in the community while forming meaningful connections. Rooted in Jesuit values, B’More Rooted helps students start their Loyola journey grounded in belonging, possibility, and purpose—while having fun along the way.

Time will be spent on and off campus to get to know the people, resources, and communities that will help you thrive in your Loyola experience. And you know we’re going to have a good time doing it! Program experiences include:

*Community-building with peers, student leaders, and campus partners
*Exploring identity, values, and belonging through guided reflection and dialogue
*Engaging the mission of the McAuley Women’s Center and commitment to gender-based equity
*Service experiences in Baltimore focused on organizations supporting women and gender equity
*Fun social activities that build connection and a strong sense of community

If the $150 registration fee is a barrier to participation, please reach out to Melissa Lees (she/her; mklees@loyola.edu; 410-617-6769).  We want to be sure that all students have the opportunity to participate in our program!
Food Provided (Breakfast and some lunched will be available on campus through university meal plans. All other meals will be provided as part of the B'More Rooted program.)
