The Thrive Center for Student Success provides holistic coaching to students as they navigate the complexities of college life. Through mentoring, programming, and outreach, we strive to ensure that each student flourishes at Loyola and beyond.

This Bridge group shares information, resources, and programming connected to the ALANA community and is open to everyone.

Membership Benefits
The Thrive Center supports cultural and identity-based student organizations at Loyola. These clubs sponsor numerous social events, educational programming, and community building opportunities that promote awareness, leadership, and connection among Loyola students. Membership is open to all students.

The Karson Institute provides a scholarly space for professors, students, social justice workers, and activists to come together to research, discuss, debate, and explore answers to America's most urgent questions on inequality, injustice, and racial inequity. We are committed to establishing a research and data-based environment built on intersectional liberated ideas and ideologies.

Mission
IgnatianQ brings together the community of LGBTQPIA+ folks (and allies) at Jesuit universities from across the U.S. As LGBTQPIA+ people, we believe that our own desire for social justice and the Jesuit values that inform our education are forces that can and should work together for a more just and humane world. As we explore the intersections of sexuality, gender, and spirituality together, we strive to educate and empower the whole person.

Since 2014, when founded at Fordham University, IgnatianQ has been hosted by AJCU schools across the country, including Loyola University Maryland in 2018. Each year, Loyola brings a delegation of students to the conference during the spring semester. IgnatianQ is supported by Campus Ministry and LGBTQ+ Student Services.

Mission
Messina supports and enhances a vibrant campus climate that engages students, faculty, administrators, and the broader community in distinct and meaningful ways, including especially an emphasis on academic excellence and intellectual inquiry.

Messina is named for the city in Sicily, Italy, where the Jesuits established their first college to welcome lay students. The college at Messina set the tone for how Jesuit education has endured and evolved throughout its nearly 500-year history—through a commitment to academic excellence attained across a range of disciplines, and to the development of the whole person.

Membership Benefits
Messina is designed to instill the intellectual curiosity and self-knowledge necessary for a first-year student's successful start to his or her Loyola education, whose commitment to personal and social responsibility reflects the Jesuit, Catholic academic and faith traditions. As a result of participation in Messina, first-year students will show progress to a deeper and fuller understanding of the interconnections unique and essential to a Jesuit Education in a contemporary world. Along the way, students will experience personalized mentorship, advising, peer education and ongoing support throughout their first year. Messina events - both on and off campus - are free to all students and in most cases, transportation is provided.

The National Fellowships Office assists Loyola undergraduate students, graduate students, and alumni in finding and applying for competitive fellowships, scholarships, summer programs, and awards. We support students' success through:
- Timely and targeted information
- Guidance and tips
- Feedback throughout your application process and committee interview
- Institutional endorsement and submission services for most selective scholarships
- Celebration and recognition of award winners
