Passionate about environmental justice and sustainability? Want to be an environmental advocate but not sure how to start? Join the Loyola Office of Sustainability this spring for Advocacy Day!

Each spring, the Office of Sustainability collaborates with Maryland Catholics for Our Common Home to equip students with advocacy and lobbying skills and then offers them the opportunity to meet with representatives from the Maryland General Assembly District 43 where Loyola is located. All students are invited- no experience necessary!

There are many environmental bills under consideration during the upcoming General Session with topics ranging from cleaner energy and less waste to more justice for impacted communities.

Advocacy Day will occur on the afternoon of Monday, February 16th (approximately 12:30-8pm). The event is free to students and includes roundtrip transportation to Annapolis and a meal.

Email Brigid Gregory, Director of Sustainability, to learn more and be added to this spring's group.
