Viviana Martinez '24
In the spirit of recognizing outstanding contributions to our Program, we are delighted to introduce our Scholar of the Month feature. Each month, we spotlight an exceptional individual whose dedication and impact leave an indelible mark on our community.
This February, we honor Senior Scholar Viviana Martinez '24
Viviana is from Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. Majoring in Marketing and Information Systems & Data Analytics, she is the Vice President of the Sellinger Scholars Society, a Resident Assistant at Newman Towers, and a member of the Greyhound Ambassadors, Mu Kappa Tau, and Sigma Society.
Viviana is set to pursue a Master's in Creative Direction, Content & Branding at IE University in Madrid, Spain, showcasing her dedication to blending marketing, data analytics, and creative direction.

Celebrating 20 years of Sellinger Scholars
We are thrilled to announce the upcoming milestone that marks the 20th Anniversary of the Sellinger Scholars Program! Over the past two decades, the program has stood as a beacon of academic excellence, fostering the growth and development of bright minds who have gone on to make significant contributions to various fields.
Join us on April 12, 2024, as we kick off the celebration with the Sellinger Scholars Closing Event and Anniversary Kickoff. This special occasion will not only mark the culmination of another successful year but also serve as the starting point for a year-long celebration of the program's legacy and impact.
The Closing Event and Anniversary Kickoff will be a momentous occasion, featuring Kimberly Ellison-Taylor, MBA '96, CEO of KET Solutions LLC, other speakers, reflections, and a glimpse into the exciting initiatives planned for the coming year. It's an opportunity to connect with fellow scholars, alumni, faculty, and supporters who have played a crucial role in the program's success.

A Lovely Month for Sellinger Scholars
Innovation Workshop with Loyola Consulting Group: Hosted in collaboration with the Loyola Consulting Group, the recent innovation workshop served as a dynamic platform to foster creative thinking and enhance problem-solving skills among participants. The event was structured to encourage active engagement, allowing individuals to explore innovative approaches and strategies relevant to their respective fields. Loyola Consulting Group played a pivotal role in guiding participants through exercises and discussions geared towards unlocking new perspectives and solutions.
Mentoring Milestone 1 Completed: Our mentoring program reached a significant point as Milestone 1 was completed and distributed. This milestone highlighted progress or achievements within the mentorship framework for the Class of 2026 and 2027 pairs. The milestone signifies a moment of reflection and acknowledgment of the mentoring relationship's growth and success.
Class of 2026 Etiquette Dinner: The Class of 2026 recently convened for a special event—the Etiquette Dinner. This formal gathering was designed not only to provide a setting for socializing but also to instill and refine proper manners and social etiquette among the participants. Attendees had the opportunity to engage in structured activities that emphasized the importance of polished social skills, preparing them for various formal settings they may encounter in their academic and professional journeys.
Sustainability Panel with SGA: A significant initiative in the realm of environmental consciousness unfolded as a Sustainability Panel discussion took place, organized in collaboration with the Student Government Association (SGA). The event brought together experts and stakeholders to delve into pressing sustainability issues, fostering awareness and dialogue around eco-friendly practices. The partnership with SGA underlines a collective commitment to addressing environmental concerns within the broader community.
New Executive Board Appointed: A pivotal moment in organizational dynamics occurred with the recent appointment of a new executive board for the 2024-25 Academic Year. This transition signifies a change in leadership, reflecting a strategic move to bring in fresh perspectives, ideas, and skills. The new executive board is expected to steer the organization towards its goals, contributing to the evolution and growth of the group in alignment with its mission and vision.
