Scholar of the Month: Luke Anderson '26

Leading with Compassion and Impact

In the spirit of recognizing outstanding contributions to our Program, we are delighted to introduce our Scholar of the Month feature. Each month, we spotlight an exceptional individual whose dedication and impact leave an indelible mark on our community.

This May, we honor Luke Anderson '26. Luke Andersen is a sophomore studying Business Economics and Finance at Loyola. He hails from Warren Township, New Jersey.

Luke has recently made a significant impact through his leadership in the "Shop Til You Drop" event at Tunbridge Elementary School. Alongside his team, he successfully raised funds to provide essential school supplies for each third grader, ensuring they can start the fall semester without their families worrying about these necessary expenses. This year, the event not only lightened the financial burden on parents but also brought joyful smiles to the faces of the students. Luke's commitment and meticulous effort to create a perfect experience for the kids exemplify his profound kindness and dedication to the youth of Baltimore. He plans to continue leading this event during his time at Loyola, aiming to enhance it further in the coming years.

Luke cherishes his involvement in the Sellinger Scholars Program for its dynamic and enriching opportunities. He values the program's emphasis on not just academic excellence, but also on fostering real-world impact through community service. Luke particularly appreciates the supportive network of peers and mentors within the program, who encourage each other to pursue their passions while making a tangible difference in the community.

For Luke, the Scholars Program is not just about academic growth; it's a platform that cultivates leadership skills and a deep sense of social responsibility, empowering him to contribute positively to society. Please extend your congratulations to Luke for this amazing achievement!
