Updates and Reminders
Club/Organization Moderators, Leaders, and Officers: please share this newsletter with your members! They can access this newsletter on the RSO group page on The Bridge under the "Newsletters" tab, or on the RSO website under the "Upcoming Events," "Past Newsletters" tabs (link: https://bridge.loyola.edu/rso/home/).
A reminder that moderators need to approve all event requests that students put in to The Bridge. Students should contact their moderator when an event has been submitted.
Thank you all for your attention to the club re-registration process over the past few weeks. Feel free to reach out if you want to confirm your club's re-registration status, or have questions about officer transition. Please be sure to send us the names of your new officers so we can update your officer listing in your club's group accordingly!
Our Club Officer Transition/Reflection sheet can be found on the RSO website. Completing this is optional, but might be helpful as you work through transitioning to new officers in the last few weeks of the semester!
Club of the Month: The LGBTQ+ Experience
Meet the OSE's April Club of the Month: The LGBTQ+ Experience! The mission of the LGBTQ+ Experience is to be an advocacy, activism, and education group on campus that works with administration to provide safe spaces on campus for people of all identities, especially people who identify as members of the LGBTQ+ community. The LGBTQ+ Experience also aims to serve as an outlet for information/resources on Loyola's campus.
The LGBTQ+ Experience works closely with other RSOs on Loyola's campus to host events on campus throughout the school year. One of The LGBTQ+ Experience's favorite past events was their Trans Day of Remembrance (TDoR) this past fall (pictured above). On TDoR, a vigil is held on the Friday before the date of International Trans Day of Remembrance to remember and respect the transgender lives lost every year to useless hatred and recognize the violence and discrimination that the transgender community faces every day. The LGBTQ+ Experience also works with other RSOs, campus administrators, and local organizations to participate in TDoR, and many of these groups serve as speakers.
An event that The LGBTQ+ Experience is looking forward to this semester is their Sexuality and Gender Diversity Awareness Week (SAGDAW) from April 17th to April 20th co-hosted with Spectrum! During this week, The LGBTQ+ Experience will host tabling and events on campus that will provide the Loyola community with educational and fun information about the LGBTQ+ community. Check out the SAGDAW schedule of events below and mark your calendars for an exciting week coming up soon! The LGBTQ+ Experience also offers resources that pertain to the LGBTQ+ community, especially the trans and non-binary community!
If you are interested in getting involved with The LGBTQ+ Experience, you can email Co-Vice President Meg Cappabianca (macappabianca@loyola.edu) or Co-Vice President Cj Sommers (cesommers@loyola.edu) or attend the next meeting on Wednesday, April 12 at 7pm in Fernandez 237. The LGBTQ+ Experience is always welcoming members and allies of the LGBTQ+ community, so reach out and get involved!

A Message from the Evergreen Annual Yearbook Staff
Every year, the Evergreen Annual Yearbook highlights our campus's clubs and organizations in our student activity section by having club members submit a club photo and description of their club through a short Microsoft form at https://forms.office.com/r/M5Xe00rErS.
Our deadline for submission is Friday, April 14. More information on submitting club photos can be found in the header of this submission form, as well as in our yearbook FAQ.
Final Workshop Opportunity
With one workshop remaining this semester, be sure one of your club officers attend! Be mindful that this is a requirement as a registered student organization.
Read through the workshop description below and be sure to register in advance if you plan to attend. You can R.S.V.P. for the April workshop directly from the graphic below.
Graduating Seniors who complete their workshop requirement will hear from the Office of Student Engagement soon for details on when and where to pick up your club leader pin. We want to thank all the groups and club leaders who attended one or more of our workshops this semester - we hope it was beneficial for your leadership development!
