Apply to HAP: How to Get Involved

Not only do HAP members get to participate in the fun events they plan, they also:

• Gain valuable leadership skills: teamwork and collaboration, organization, time management, event planning, professionalism, and more
• Make new friendships with students from across campus
• Participate in professional development workshops
• Contribute to a vibrant campus community: have fun helping other students have fun!

HAP applications open every September for first year students. The 2025-26 application will be open from September 9th to 22nd. Students must apply through the Bridge and complete both the form and interview with a Student Leadership and Involvement staff member.

HAP membership is currently full for upperclassmen. Students not graduating in the 2025-26 school year may apply for the 2026-27 year board. Applications will be open in early to mid-March.

HAP welcomes students at all majors, class years, and levels of experience with leadership and event planning!

To become a member of HAP, students must:

• Fill out the required application via the Bridge
• Complete a 30-minute interview with Student Leadership and Involvement staff
• Be a full-time, undergraduate student at Loyola University Maryland
• Have/maintain a 2.5 minimum GPA
• Maintain clear student conduct and honor code records
